Explore science and tech in a summer camp for future leaders of tomorrow!
In this 5 day full-day workshop students will be guided through various activities in the fields of STEAM (Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts, and Math). Learn to code, make art through science, and discover the wonderful world of animation all while having fun and making friends.
This program is offered in partnership with Pacific Autism Family Network in a continuous effort to diversify the tech industry by providing educational opportunities that are inclusive and accessible to all students.
Program Eligible for Autism Funding
When: August 12 - 16, 2024 9:30 am - 2:00 pm
Where: Pacific Autism Family Network (3688 Cessna Dr, Richmond, BC V7B 1C7)
Who can come: This workshop is geared towards those ages 8-13**
*Priority registration will be given to students who identify as neurodivergent, members of the LGBTQIA2S+, those who identify as members of a BIPOC community, and newcomers to Canada.
Technology you will learn: learn to code, the basics of computer animation, robotics, laboratory science, art, and much more!
Number of sessions: 5 x 5-hour sessions
Prerequisites: None! This class is for those who are beginners and do not have extensive technical knowledge.
Materials needed: Please bring a water bottle, a lunch and a snack!

Can I still register if I can’t attend the full week?
Yes, please indicate what days you will be able to come when you register.
We mean students who have a diverse way of thinking, learning, socializing, or processing.
This includes students who identify as autistic or have lived experiences with ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia, Generalized Anxiety, or any other diverse needs or intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.

The camp will be mostly conducted indoors as the facilities in the laboratory are needed for many of the activities.
