The C.O.D.E. Initiative is thrilled to be coming to Sexsmith Elementary for an exciting adventure with our Beginner Coding program! 💻✨
Learn coding principles, solve exciting challenges, and bring your wildest ideas to life through code.
Our Beginner Coding program provides a hands-on, collaborative learning experience through block-based coding. The curriculum emphasizes creative thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork, allowing students to explore coding logic and through interactive activities.

When: Thursdays, 3:00 - 4:30, January 30th - March 6th
Where: Sir James Douglas Elementary School (2150 Brigadoon Ave, Vancouver, BC V5P 3Z7)
Who can come: Those in grades 4-7
Technology you will learn: learn to code, the basics of computer animation, robotics, laboratory science, art, and much more!
Number of sessions: 6 sessions
Prerequisites: None! This class is for those who are beginners and do not have extensive technical knowledge.
Materials needed: All materials will be provided but students may choose to bring a water bottle and a snack.
