Success Story: Parent Interview
With so many different online coding programs out there, we understand that sometimes parents may not know whether or not a workshop is the right fit for their child and suits their needs. We acknowledge the importance of personalized learning experiences, and strive to facilitate workshops that encourage learning in our students regardless of background or experience. We work with children of varying talents, abilities, and ages, and are committed to give the opportunity of learning how to code to every student interested.
This week, we’re sharing a Success Story of one of our CODE parents - Cecilia, and her son Gavin, who recently completed our Python workshop.
The CODE Initiative: Is this your child’s first class? If not, how many classes has your child taken with us?
Cecilia: Gavin has taken 5-6 classes with The CODE Initiative before his Python workshop.
The CODE Initiative: Why did you decide to enrol your child in coding classes?
Cecilia: Gavin thinks in a very logical way and seems to have a knack for technology. He loves any kind of coding classes.
The CODE Initiative: How would your child describe the support they receive from his/her/their tutor?
Cecilia: He said that Medha was really nice, helpful and was really smart.
The CODE Initiative: Have The CODE Initiative workshops helped your child in any way? How?
Cecilia: Yes, he has enjoyed learning different tools to build his own projects. I think because he loves it so much, he will continue to want to do more of these workshops.
The CODE Initiative: Do you have any advice for other parents considering signing up for workshops?
Cecilia: If your child shows any interest in coding or STEM education, sign them up for these classes. They will love them.
