Beginners/Advanced 1 Coding Workshop (July 8 - 12)

Beginners/Advanced 1 Coding Workshop (July 8 - 12)

Regular price $100.00

The C.O.D.E. Initiative workshops are for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD/ADD, and other differently-abled youth aged 8-17. This initiative is led by students from The University of British Columbia. Through this program, we hope to inspire differently-abled students to explore their immense potential. The workshops provide a fun and interactive space to practice the applications of programming through creating Apps.

This program is special in the sense that it welcomes all skill levels, from students who have never done scratch to students who have done some scratch and would like to expand their knowledge level. We are offering this mixed program since it will be the only scratch workshop this summer, as we will be focusing on Python and Robotics in the other workshops.

These workshops offer a 1:1 teacher to student ratio to provide students with a comfortable learning environment where they can develop their coding and problem-solving skills. This ratio ensures that students can move at their own pace to gain the most out of the tailored experience.

July 8 - 12  (Weekdays)

Start time: 5:30 pm

End time: 7:00 pm

The workshops will be at the Westbrook Community Center, 3335 Webber Ln, Vancouver.

Students are highly encouraged to bring their own laptops. The model or year of the device does not matter. This is so that the students can practice the application we teach in class, at home.

We offering Advance 2 - Introduction to Python, which is a text-based computer language from July 15 - 19. We will also be offering robotics in July and August. Please visit our website for more information.
