Advance 2 - Introduction to Python (July 15 - 19)

Advance 2 - Introduction to Python (July 15 - 19)

Regular price $100.00

The C.O.D.E. Initiative workshops are for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD/ADD, and other differently-abled youth aged 8-17. This initiative is led by students from The University of British Columbia. Through this program, we hope to inspire differently-abled students to explore their immense potential. The workshops provide a fun and interactive space to practice the applications of programming through creating Apps.

Introduction to Python is the first in our series of text-based languages. We are slowly transitioning the students into one of the most used and useful computer language - Python. Please note: the students taking this class should 1) have either taken our advance I class before 2) have solid coding knowledge. If you are unsure of whether this is the right fit for your child please do contact us at outreach@thecodeinitiative.ca

These workshops offer a 1:1 teacher to student ratio to provide students with a comfortable learning environment where they can develop their coding and problem-solving skills. This ratio ensures that students can move at their own pace to gain the most out of the tailored experience.

July 15 - 19, 2019  (Weekdays)

Start time: 5:30 pm

End time: 7:00 pm

The workshops will be at the Westbrook Community Center, 3335 Webber Ln, Vancouver.

Students are highly encouraged to bring their own laptops. The model or year of the device does not matter. This is so that the students can practice the application we teach in class, at home.

If however, your child cannot bring a device, please do tell us and we will accommodate.

We will be offering robotics workshops in July and August. To sign up please visit our website registration page.
